A journey through the history of an ancient land rich in traditions told through the decorations, the textures and the patterns that characterize the different cultures that coexist in it.

Diversi aspetti della cultura libica hanno ispirato il progetto e sono stati qui introdotti con sottili citazioni, per mostrare la vastità e la grandezza di questa terra e di come, in realtà, i diversi elementi si richiamino e si influenzino a vicenda.

Different aspects of Libyan culture inspired the project and were introduced here with subtle quotes to show the vastness and grandeur of this land and how, in reality, the different elements refer to and influence each other.

Therefore we find:

the color palette and the patterns from the roman mosaicos of Villa Silin, Leptis Magna and Sabartha
the technique of carving the wood and the latticework typical of the mashrabiya from the islamic world: the textures and the examples are endless
the decorative motifs from the southern city: Ghadamesh and its traditional berber decorative motifs

I mosaici sono l’elemento conduttore, declinati in diverse textures e materiali; dal tappeto di piastrelle della zona retail, al quadro – opera d’arte dietro il banco reception in tessere lapidee come i mosaici antichi, per finire con la spirale delle scale e della torre ascensore che fondono i colori tipici della terra con il blu del mare e del cielo.

The mosaics are the main element here, declined in different textures and materials; from the tiles carpet of the retail area, to the painting – piece of art behind the reception desk in stone tiles like the ancient mosaics, to finish with the spiral of the stairs and the lift tower that blend the typical colors of the earth with the blue of the sea and sky.
